Marcia Banks is a risk professional and corporate finance expert, with over 20 years’ experience in enterprise and portfolio risk management, corporate finance, and loan syndications.
Marcia joined Sycamore Associates in 2005, following 19 years at JPMorgan Chase (and predecessor companies Bank One and First Chicago NBD/First Chicago). She headed the team of credit portfolio managers responsible for the bank’s loan and derivative portfolio (2000-2005), and worked in loan syndications (1988-2000), where she was a senior pricing and structuring professional and member of the Underwriting Committee.
Marcia currently serves as Associate Director of the International Association of Credit Portfolio Managers (IACPM), and is a member of the Advisory Board of DePaul University’s Center for Financial Services. She has also served on the Board of the Loan Syndication and Trading Association (LTSA). She has conducted numerous risk and finance training seminars on behalf of the IACPM and the LSTA, and has taught seminars and courses on applied risk management topics at both DePaul University and the University of Illinois.
Marcia holds a BSFS degree in International Economics from The School of Foreign Service of Georgetown University, and an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
