Winifred Pinet is a corporate finance, treasury, and risk expert with over 25 years’ experience in capital structure, treasury, corporate finance, and risk management. Since 1999, she has assisted clients with solutions for risk, capital markets, and treasury as founder and President of Sycamore Associates, specializing in custom solutions for and best practices in domestic and international treasury, capital structure, risk mitigation, corporate responsibility and ESG compliance, and the change management required for implementation. Additionally, the risks associated with the climate crisis are under-recognized and often remain unmitigated in the corporate setting, absent regulatory requirements. Sycamore assists in recognizing and developing strategies to address broad issues around environmental, governance, policy, and equity in a corporate context. Sycamore’s client base comprises primarily US-based multinationals centered in the Great Lakes states.

Prior to forming Sycamore, she enjoyed a career in corporate banking (1982-99), beginning at NBD Bank and continuing in successor organizations to JPMorganChase. Ms. Pinet is an alumna of the University of Kansas (BA 1980 with Honors, MBA 1982) and makes Michigan her home base. She chairs the Advisory Board of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at KU and has served on the KU School of Business Board and national KU Alumni Association Board. She has a CTP designation and a Certificate in Sustainability Management from the University of Colorado, Boulder. When not biking or walking, she can be found in her garden or making music with friends.
