“Braiding Sweetgrass” Named Sycamore Associates Book of the Year for 2022
Braiding Sweetgrass, by Robin Wall Kimmerer, is Sycamore’s 2022 Book of the Year.
“This lyrical work effortlessly weaves themes of indigenous knowledge and science to make a compelling case for changing our relationship with the world, its inhabitants, and each other. It illuminates the truths about our impacts in our natural environment while offering the hope to encourage change”, said Winifred Pinet, Sycamore’s President. “It was a transformative read. We will discuss these themes as we think about all of our work in the coming year”.
